All has been quiet on the XD front this month but it doesn’t mean I have forgotten about you all. I would like to welcome all my lovely new members and also say thanks to those of you who joined us nearly a whole year ago!

Thank you to those of you who personally messaged me about the January free group gift and the Christmas Advent Calendar. I am so glad you took the time to contact me, it makes the effort worth while it really does.

So February is upon us already, absolutley crazy! It it is the month for luuuurve! Hehe. So to celebrate this I have a Valentines Gown being released on the 1st. And yes it is FREE to all XD Members. I hope you like it, and find some very romantic spot to wear it in Second Life.

In our main store right now you can also find a FREE dress that is available to everyone, XD tag above your head or not. This is a gift I made for the Fabulously Free in SL group which reached 10,000 members. If you are not already a member I can highly recommend this group and blog. Designers from all over Second Life (including XD and Thorn) send out notices about their freebies/dollarbies/10Lindenbies and often will send gifts straight into the group notices! Their blog is kept up to date with pictures of some of the items found in world too.

So congratulations Fabfree, keep up the hard work and thank you Renee for all the support you have given XD.

Free to all XD Members

..so lets heat things up a bit. Here is the new XD Group gift. The snowflake negligee is available for free to all XD members up until February 1st 2010. You can find it in our main store in Second Life.

We all invest a lot of money in our virtual appearance. I thought I would share a tip that I have learnt in my time on the grid, on how to make sure you look your best while you wonder around Second Life.  If you need any assistance feel free to comment or contact me in world and I will try to talk you through it.

Ok first of all here is how to make your skin look flawless without the need for those annoying facelights.

• Click WORLD in the top menu bar

• Move your cursor over Enviromental Settings at the bottom of the list and select Sky Settings.

• Select New and rename Perfect skin

• Select the lighting tab and move all sliders under sun/moon color (RGBI) to 0.00

• Then move all sliders under Ambient (RGBI) to 0.64

• Then click save.

You will then be able to select your Perfect Skin Settings via the Sky Settings whenever you please by clicking in the drop down menu next to sky presets.

Wow can’t tell you how thrilled I am to have reached the 500 milestone. To say a massive thank you I stayed up horribly late and made this fun gift for you all. Yay! Winter has come to xD, the ground is covered in crisp white snow I just love to hear it crunch beneath my feet The pond has frozen over, grab yourself a pair of free ice skates and see how good your balance is. Touch the snowman for a snowball gun and get a battle on…and for when you get too cold there is an igloo to snuggle in and toast marshmallows on the crackling fire. Slapt.Me is a great website which enables you to shop online and have your goods delivered straight to you in Second Life. You can open an account by visiting the website and registering you will then be told your validation code.

Then visit a terminal in world (one coming to Xtreme Desires within the next day or two) and say the validation code in open chat and your account will be verified. That’s it! You can then pay your lindens into your new account via the terminal ( a great way to budget) or simply browse the site and see what is available to you from many different merchants all over Second Life.

This is a great way to find new designers and find links to their shops in world. Visit Slapt.me and see what you can find.
